Baby Dedication Day
Emmerson and her friend Grace Wilson were dedicated last Sunday at our church in Jakarta. Following the service, the Wilsons hosted a luncheon in honor of our beautiful daughters. According to Javanese tradition, the first 100 days of a baby's life is celebrated by slaughtering a goat: two goats for a boy, one goat for a girl (!). We of course were not going to go as far as that, but the Wilsons did rent a goat to walk around the yard during the lunch, and Alison prepared a leg of goat which was enjoyed by the luncheon attendees. Emmerson's dress was made by Great Aunt Mary for her cousin Hannah, who wore it about 11 years ago, and her sweet little bonnet was made out of a wedding handkerchief by my friend Shelly's mother, Vicky Rude.
Here are our latest Shuttefly photos as well (in no particular order): May and June 05.

Was very special to share the day together with our beautiful daughters, and of course the goat! Even if they don't remember the day, we will enjoy re-telling the stories! I'm hoping they'll have more adventures together to tell too.
With lots of love..
