First Swim
Emmerson went for her first swim yesterday! We visited Alison and Grace Wilson and had a nice swim in their pool. Emmerson is modelling a swimsuit loaned by Grace. Emmerson loved the experience and enjoyed kicking her legs vigorously while moving through the water.

Hi Alicia, you have a nice site. I like the Batik Baby Blog site the most. I have a baby girl too. She is 21 months now and I'm expecting another one due in November. I was reading your travel journal on Krakatao and saw that your mom had to pay $4/minute to call you. Does your mom still have to pay that much now?
See, my family moved to the states about 14 years ago from Indonesia and most of my parents' families live in Indonesia. It was hard in the beginning to call to Indonesia because of the cost to do so. But now there are different kind of pre-paid phone cards out there (at least in the states that I know of). My mother even sells those pre-paid phone cards on the side and most of her clients are other Indonesian who live in the states. It's $10 for 4 hours. There are some deduction of course, not sure the detail of it (I can find out more if you like), but it's pretty good compare to $4/minute. And it can only be used from the states. Let me know if you like to know more about it. And I will e-mail the information to you.

Emmerson looks gorgeous in those outfits. Oops, at least Gracie has a nice swim suit though her mother is sometimes too slack to get her dressed up in anything more than just a singlet, poor thing!
I think Gracie looks gorgeous no matter what she wears-- and I got the idea for the batik dress from the little blue sundress she wore to church last Sunday!
