Happy 1st Birthday, Emmerson!

Emmerson is 1! We decided to follow in my tradition and have a birthday "season" for Emmerson: we had brunch at a fancy hotel on Sunday with Andrew, Alison and Gracie, then had a pool party after school on Monday for our teacher friends (Alison and Gracie joined us, too), and then for her actual birthday we had Alison, Andrew and Gracie up to open presents and eat cake. Both girls enjoyed themselves immensely! Emmerson surprised us by very carefully and daintily eating her cake crumb by crumb, while Gracie was a bit more exuberant. We can't believe our little baby is one!!
