Ian is exploring the jungles of Kalimantan on the island of Borneo this week with the eighth grade class. We're hoping that Baby Duell 2.0 won't decide to make an early entrance! The night before he left, Emmerson was in rare form and was running around the house wearing Ian's England soccer shirt shouting, "Go Man U! Go Man U!" Sometimes I think she is all the entertainment we need. The ladies from school threw me a surprise baby shower on Saturday morning, so in the belly shot picture below I am holding the diaper cake that one of them made!

Funzone

Here are a few pictures from the past week. We took Emmerson to Funzone in the mall last weekend. It is one of those places you avoid like the plague as a single person because of the loud video game noises and obnoxiously flashing lights that assault you as you walk by, but as a parent... somehow these places become more acceptable. It's worth a few lost brain cells if your child is entertained for 30 minutes on a lazy Saturday afternoon. At least that's what we tell ourselves.

Easter

Here are just a few pictures from Easter. As you can see, she doesn't yet get the idea of smiling for the camera; we're not really sure what the deal is with some of her expressions!

We went to Bali for Spring Break, but unfortunately Emmerson got really sick on the first full day we were there! She only wanted to lie on our bed in the darkened hotel room, alternately sleeping and crying. Needless to say, we did not take many pictures of these activities. The few pictures we do have of her enjoying the pool and the beach were taken on the first day we were there. Bali is a great place to have leather clothing made, so my friend Tracey and I each had matching leather jackets made. I can only hope that mine fits, as the belly warps the style!
